It’s hard to get here these days…
I don’t know why.
Here and my little room.
My new little room. I haven’t been in there to make anything since we moved it.
I don’t know why.
Maybe it’s my little pad, it’s so easy to pull out and play and there isn’t anything to clean up and I can go back and pick up where I left off or erase it all and start over.
No fuss.
Contained.

It may even be why I am not knitting. I have started a project four times and I’m reluctant to start it again. It needs more attention than I am willing to part with at the moment.

But there is a great deal of
churning, simmering, composting, settling and reshuffling going on.

  1. you aren't kidding about the churning and reshuffling. That's a startling image, and I don't know if you intended it, but it makes me think of Japan. The circular streak of red-gold is like the sun on the Japanese flag, and those snakes are huddled for protection against the bare unforgiving earth.

Your little room and your textiles will be there, right? For now, it seems like an explosion of art is happening inside you and that little pad. Portable inspiration. Love that.

  3. I'm feeling the same…
    unsettled, confused.
Also, (and I hate to admit it), I'm feeling lazy.

So, I'm in the tunnel, moving slowly, knowing there's a gorgeous full moon waiting outside….and,
    writhing snakes, too???

It will all be there when the decision is made to go back to it, with gusto!

    Missed you…

  5. I know what you mean about rooms, and the power they have over our activities.

I love you and your blog, even when you're not posting, it's very reassuring and inspiring.

  7. My “writing room” lies empty, its charm doing no one any good at all.
Too many snakes in the hen house, too many moments of this, not that. Too much dirt, not enough planting.
You make art of it all.
