Sunday Nest Tour
this is lu in a rare vertical moment. she’s been in her new bed most of the day snuggled up with her new toy fox

but she found something much better than the fox and her new bed

my poor weepy dishwasher,up most of the night with an upset tummy and down for the count today

if i can squeeze in there i’d like to join them and continue stitching.
i’m seeing squiggles of lines. threads and snippets of paper dropped on the studio floor, the dryer tumbling our clothes making beautiful rainy sunday music.

a small bouquet of what’s blooming in the yard this day.
along with the tulips are daffodils, snowdrops, lavender, roses, lemons, hardenbergia and lilies.
sunday in the garden

last night my phone rang
while i was in a deep heavy sleep and though i went to sleep expecting the call by the time it came my body had long been abandoned, thrown into a dark mossy well. i was an enormous barnacle covered whale of a thing slithering through mud. it took about a month to discover and operate my arm and then there were words i had to form and though i could sense them floating around in my mind i couldn’t quite reach them and when finally i did my mouth seemed to be lined with felt. i had questions but almost as soon as i thought them i lost interest, all i wanted was to go back into that mossy cave but of course i couldn’t.
i hate when that happens.

this morning my ring tone is on continuous play in my head and i’m afraid it’s going to wear tiny holes in my skull and what’s left of my brain will seep out, so i’m looking for a new ring tone.

there will be yoga this morning. there will be concentrated noisy breathing and stinky sweat and hopefully dear sweet 7.8 lb baby jesus there will be a loosening of all those gluey joints and at least an hour of no crazy loop thinking just being in this (well padded) bag of bones.
